Walk the Last Week with King Jesus

Each year Palm Sunday kicks off Easter week. This week gives us a deeper focus on the ONE who came, died, and resurrected to save us from separation from God. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice. But there is so much about His last week on earth that led to what He endured to fulfill God’s plan for redemption.

Let’s walk through Jesus’ last days and discuss how they apply to us today.

Sunday: King Jesus Coming In

• Read Matthew 21:6-9. The people were recognizing Jesus as God’s anointed King on earth and the ultimate authority in heaven.

•  Discuss how you can prioritize meditating on the proclamation of the Gospel this week.

Monday: King Jesus Cleaning Up

• Read 1 Matthew 21:12-13. Jesus isn’t our savior just to provide us with “therapeutic benefits.” He wants to cleanse us as he cleansed the temple courts.

• How does Jesus cleaning up the temple courts apply to your life today?
• If comfortable, what does Jesus want to clean up in your life?

Tuesday: King Jesus Coming Back

• Read Matthew 24:30.

• How can you ready yourself for His return?

Wednesday: King Jesus Creating Space

• Read 1 Matthew 26:6-7.

• How can you live sacrificially just like the woman at Bethany?

Thursday: King Jesus Committing Help

• Read John 14:15-17. Jesus was leaving his disciples, but promised them he would send them a helper - The Holy Spirit.  

• What does it mean to be dependent on the Holy Spirit?
• How can you become more dependent on the Holy Spirit?

Prayer Focus: As you reflect this week on the sacrifice that Jesus made for you, pray that your faith would be strengthened and you would grow more and more into the person God wants you to become. Also, pray with the Central Family that we would see numbers of people come to Christ through the events planned.
